Query Module
Query Module as the name suggests is used for making your
user defined queries & you can also get reports of these queries.
Ans:
Click on ‘Shortcut to QR’ from your desktop.
Select window will appear with the option
...New. Click on New option.
Now ‘Enter Description’ window will appear in
which you can enter the name you would like to give to this query.
Click on Apply button. This will create a new
query by the name you have given.
Q.2 How
do I get a report of the open, high, low & close for BSE A group?
Ans:
When you enter in your own query click on
Technical Condition, select Misc in that select Report Open, High, Low, Close,
Volume option.
A Price window will appear asking for a date,
enter a particular date for which you want the report and click on apply.
Pressing the ‘Esc’ key twice will take you to
the main menu.
Click on Group & select Exchange.
Click on Pre-Defined in the category
window.You will see a list of all the groups in the pre-defined category.
You have to select BSE A Group and return to
the main window.
If you wish to see your report in a specific
format click on Report Format.
Select the columns you want to be displayed from
the list. As soon as you select any option its colour changes to red.
Press ‘Esc’ to return to the main menu.
You will have to click on ‘Start’ in the main
menu to run the report.
You can either Save or Print this report.
Q.3 How
can I check those scrip whose ROC is crossing its overbought range?
Ans:
Click on your Query that you have already
created using the procedure explained in Q.1 & select Technical Conditions.
Select ‘Top formation’ & click on
‘Indicator coming out of overbought range’
You can select Roc(%) out of the list of
indicators displayed.
It will then prompt you to enter all the
details of the parameters.
Click ‘Apply’ this will bring you back to the
earlier window.
Now press ‘Esc’ twice to come to the main
menu.
Click on ‘Group’ & select the group for
which you want check this condition.
Click on ‘Start’ to start running the report.
Similarly you can get a report for ‘Bottom
formation’ too by selecting the option for ‘Bottom formation’ & running the
same query.
Ans:
Click on ‘Technical conditions’ & go to
‘Misc’
You have to select ‘Is crossing a level’
& next window will give you a list of studies.
Select Simple moving average out of the list.
In the parameters put days as 10 & the level up to which you want to check
the crossing.
To check crossover in upward direction type
‘U’ from keyboard & to check crossover in downward direction type ‘D’
Click on Apply & press ‘Esc’ twice from
keyboard to come back to the main menu
Now click on ‘Start’ to run the report.
